never been ga ga for this girl and in my mind I'll always hold it against her for accomplishing her feat on mostly synthetic surfaces but that was an impressive run to get up yesterday and done with weight. Kudos to the Hollywood crowd for saluting the runner up and giving the queen her due respect upon return to the winners circle. Also nice race call by Vic. If only the connections could bring both of the leading ladies to a track at least once before they're retired. Racing lost out on Cigar v Holy Bull, maybe we can have one faceoff in my lifetime. |

I loved the call by the announcer. The last 100 yards or so he wasn't really saying anything, just pure passion. A chill went down my spine listening to it. |

She got up with pure willpower yesterday. Smith came out so wide, he would've lost by a few lengths on a mortal horse. That frontrunner was game and ran a great race. Special horses do special things. Zenyatta is one of them. |

She carried 129 on rubbers against a short field. She may be the best now but wouldn't make a pimple on the asses of FOREGO, KELSO, or JOHN HENRY. |

Ghostzapper won, what 8 races in 3 years? Plus Bobby loaded him up with plenty of roids and co2, he was the epitome of the roid era super horse. Super fast, super drugged, super shady, and often injured. A sprinter who was tweaked up to win one big race. I would say Invasor was better then any of those. Cigar was a great champ. But I think Zenyatta is the best since the Bid. 17 and 0 - it's insane. |

I think 17-0 is impressive, but let's not get carried away with her greatness. She beat male horses once, over her preferred surface. She is a terrific mare no doubt, but isn't even close to the class of John Henry for example. |

She won 17 races - almost all stakes races- in a row over two years. How much class does it take to hold form for that long and to win race after race after race. She is a huge mare that carries herself with the utmost confidence- a real beast- with an imposing presence, a true alpha mare. If you go on some other forums (PA)this mare is constantly being besmirched. The reason is that Zenyatta exposes the weak underbelly of the empirically based speed figure/computer handicappers. Per the speed figs Zenyatta is not that fast, yet she keeps winning. It is sort of an enigma to these people. For them to accept her greatness would to be invalidate their entire speed figure based horseracing belief system. |

Zenyatta doesn't need to run 110s and 120s to win races. She runs to her competition and does what she needs to do to win.
