I do not like it. Used to like reading the silk colors on the Program so I could follow my horse thru the binoculars.

It's about time. Makes it so much easier to follow you horse. Especially now when callers either forget about the rest of the pack, or just plain screw up the call.

Not Invented by NYRA Did not say that NYRA invented it Yorker, I said that I was very happy when NYRA decided to go from all black to colored saddlecloths.

Understand But not sure You Understand that the Breeders Cup originally used the Colored Saddleclothes Also . Their Reason to Change was to spotlight Corporate Advertising and Promotion with Jocks Wearing Silk Shorts and Advertisements . the Colors mean Easier to Spot but less focus on the promotion. The Sport overall needs sponsors and Promotion to stay Alive . I don't think at NYRA or BC it was because they were coming Late out of the Stone Age ? NYRA couldn't make a nickle and counts on Welfare or Slot Machines to Operate . The Breeders Cup makes Millions Annually by Promoting Horse Racing. Which Group is in the Stone Age ?? I'm Always For Business that Tries to Find Ways to Be Profitable . NYRA could learn a lot from The Breeders Cup Folks. I Know , I should Just Go with the We Are Better in NY and The Rest are Clueless Crowd , Just not my Nature. Good Luck today at Saratoga

The Breeders' Cup had to tap into its cash reserves this year, sponsorship was dwindling, purse cuts are on the list of potential changes... I wouldn't toss NYRA under the bus using the BC, who is struggling right now.
