The remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy have brought torrential downpours throughout the NYC metro area. I got drenched going out at 6:30 a.m. for a warm muffin and beer but old Marines enjoy being wet and miserable. It makes us feel young again.
I don't see any grass races coming at Belmont today despite the rain clearing out of here by noon.

They will run today. No big carryover. 5 out of the 6 pick 6 races are scheduled to be run on the turf. We may have had the same situation as last week if big money was involved.

No matter the storms and more rain than last week, for some reason with no $194K carryover in play there will be no "safety issues" at Belmont Park today.
Amazing, ain't it?
