The remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy have brought torrential downpours throughout the NYC metro area. I got drenched going out at 6:30 a.m. for a warm muffin and beer but old Marines enjoy being wet and miserable. It makes us feel young again. I don't see any grass races coming at Belmont today despite the rain clearing out of here by noon. |

They will run today. No big carryover. 5 out of the 6 pick 6 races are scheduled to be run on the turf. We may have had the same situation as last week if big money was involved. |

No matter the storms and more rain than last week, for some reason with no $194K carryover in play there will be no "safety issues" at Belmont Park today. Amazing, ain't it? |
