CLAIRIERE won this race last year. Third over and off a Gr. 1 win in the Apple Blossom at Oaklawn. Six-time winner at the distance. PLAYED HARD is a Gr. 1 winner by taking the La Troienne last out on Derby Day. On a two-race graded-stakes win roll and 6/3/2/0 at the distance. Keeps JV too. Hard luck runner SECRET OATH has been beaten in two straight Gr. 1 contests by a neck. Wins half her starts going a mile and a sixteenth (4 for 8). Second over for Chad's SEARCH RESULTS. Third in the La Troienne but beaten by less than a length. Not out of this. |

Helluva closing kick from CLAIRIERE off the dawdling splits. Slow Bred maidens can often do 1:43+. |
