There is some obvious chalk here but TAR BEACH closed well to just miss with NW1X company last out and lands here in a much softer starter allowance. This guy can be a decent runner when he wants to fire but that 4/8/3 record from 27 starts can drive you nuts when you need him to help a multi-ticket.

Lump HIGH ON CANDY - SCRATCH - is in fair form and has been facing tougher comepetition.

Dutrow's GOLD IS GOOD - SCRATCH - is in this one after scoring at the Big A 4 days ago.

TAR BEACH felt like doing an afternoon lope job and ALLRIGHTSRESERVED spit the bit to a tired horse late.

The cats, worried about me being broke while the wife is away, showed up at my desk hissing and snarling and flashing claws. Alarmed, I ran downstairs and opened the "cat cabinet" to show them the stockplie of premium cat food and treats. Relieved, they began to mew and rub aginst me and then they all trotted off for another afternoon nap before dinner.
