Poppy Day won on Veterans Day and veterans have been on my mind lately. Good jock, good trainer. Landlash is one of my favorites, though doesn't seem to fit quite well here, but you never know with Leah....always a price with this trainer. DD....4-6/1-3-5.....P3....4-6/1-3-5/1

Cousin Brucie continues his march through Georgia. Regretting that I didn't criss-cross him in the early DD, but the 6-5 odds were just unpalatable. Didn't want to cover Miss Dolan's Rose, because DiSanto is another who only pops at a price, though I should have taken into account that it was only a five-horse field and everything is relative. Tired. Relieved that Abel Lezcano didn't win - that would have been excrutiating. Poppy Day came up empty.
