There's not a lot to go on here but first impressions are important.
You can doodle a diddle with DOODLEMAN. It's this guy's turf debut but as a son of HENNESSY going over a bog I give him a shot to go well here at a number.
Lump SOUND OF DRUMS finished within hailing distance of the winner in his only turf start and is the only horse in the race that has ever hit the board.
Goldberg's BREAK THE GLASS was OK in the debut race but comes off a 178-day layup. Gets Ramon up and an insane 6/5 morning line despite having fired the top fig of anybody but that was back in October.
The other Lump, WHARTON WIZARD, is a firster out of the Zito barn and this son on LEMON DROP KID isn't exactly facing a field of monsters here. Nick isn't famous for scoring with firsters but somebody's got to win this race.

7 Break the Glass with a good start should beat these but will be a real short price.
1 Doodleman might improve on the lawn, Worth a small shot at number

And KIDD's the Webby with best off-track pedigree.
I thought a number could land here but when I go hoping and groping lately the chalk rolls.

I'm OK with the DOODLE under ARNELL but a boatload of multis just went up in smoke.

Those HENNESSY runners have large paws and some of them go nicely over boggy turf.
It's interesting to note that the excata horses went one/two and two/one all the way around through slow fractions over the marsh.

It's interesting to note that the excata horses went one/two and two/one all the way around through slow fractions over the marsh. I dislike speed on grass with three exceptions: (1) a vastly superior animal is running (2) the grass has been baked by the summer heat to the point where it is running like dirt and dust is kicking up (3) on a soggy course, very often, the first one(s) out that grab the surface well can often create enough of a margin up front, that it's difficult for the closers to make up ground.
