I still don't get Rocketman's remark. I read SOTB's post as a compliment without being a "lawyer" or an old buddy or a hanger-on or a groupie or as a farmer with torn trousers off a turnip wagon.

lord knows I have had said negative things towards SOTB, many of which were just me being a bit of a prat. I love rocket, but I still don't know what was said that was upsetting in any way.

SOTB laid out a compliment - sharp 'capping as opposed to rolling a small ball onto a wheel while praying for a number.

What did I miss?

What didn't you miss? You're drinking the Kool-Aid, Larry. SOTB has been railing on Rocketman's loose, "roulette" style of play for quite some time now. I don't understand how you missed that parallel, but then again, you turned deaf ears when SOTB threatened to piss on Oldguy's father's grave, and went after Hoppy's family. You stake claim to both fine men being close friends, yet it's obvious that your ultimate loyalty lies with SOTB, for better or for worse. :?:

And the board continues to spiral downhill along with the quality of racing, which you incessently complain about... yet when Gulfstream or Pimlico offer a stacked, competitive card with plenty of opportunity to snag a few numbers, you preach your life-long loyalty to NYRA and bitch when Dominguez bags $3 winners at a 45% clip.

Gimme a break!

I for one have no interest in creating drama out of a little ball busting. You don't have to like everybody, and everybody doesnt have to like you. It's called living in the real world. This is not the real world, it's a forum where people can take the liberty (ball busting) that maybe they would be less inclined to do if they were sitting around a picnic table or sgtanding along the rail together.

The internet, via forums like this one, creates an atmosphere where a little ball busting seems like an attack. It takes a lot of effort to not like someone and frankly it seems like a waste of the limited time we are granted on this marble.

I don't mind ball-busting. I haven't picked a winner since the start of the Obama administration.

Is calling someone a "roulette playing handicapper" an insult?? Roulette is an elegant casino game. Many would take that as an compliment.

And some don't... I guess it's the age-old "sticks and stones..." parable.

Geez...if something like that upsets you, you need to get your meds better regulated.

I'm not upset. I can't speak for Rocketman though. However, I sense it's a mutual disrespect.

'you' was meant as a general 'you'---not specific for you Tim

Didn't James Bond play some roulette? He was pretty cool.
