What's the Record could have won if he was good enough last out, but he didn't. Suspect favorite.

The race looks prime for a new shooter to break through. Petey Cramer ran a solid effort out in front on the wet, and tries turf here for the 1st time. Linda/Cornelio team up with this one at a price.

Master Splash flashed speed last time and gets blinkers for the 1st time. Could be a tailor-made turf sprinter, and attracts Ramon for Englehart, although we probably won't get close to 8-1 here.

Firsters City Strut and Titus Catienus may feel right at home in this grouping, and cannot be ignored at long prices.

The two inside horses are the ones to beat here. Maybe a slight edge to the 2 horse who is a second time starter and has every chance to step up from a good effort in last.

the rail runner is third off a layoff for his third race as a 3YO.

Both stand to benefit from the cutback. Suave Fox has to deal with a few more on the front end while Jaded Lover may have the ability to sit and pounce on this field.

Win 1 and 2

We'll approach this race keying on Petey Cramer and Master Splash, while using the outside firsters under...

ex 5-8/1-5-8-9-10

BANG!

$166 exacta... just missed the $478 score too.

Linda/Cornelio strike again!

:) You finally caught a big fish - congrats! Never give up.
And yeah - the longer priced firster needed a couple more strides and would have tabbed a bigger payout, but that exacta is nothing to sneeze at.
