Loyalty to my racing roots has me working this card today but this is getting worse than a snowy day in February over the inner. And it's a beautiful Saturday on a holiday weekend at Belmont Park. I bet even the guys at the Alamo were questioning their loyalty after the first five hundred Mexicans got over the wall.

The only non-Slow Bred in this bad open claimer is REAL GLORY - SCRATCH - who drops, shortens, and changes surfaces for Linda Rice. Need more angles? I don't have any.

JUSTASMALLTOWNGIRL was the beaten fave VS a similar group last out with an OK late kick over the slop. Ramon stays and that's good sign but figures to be overbet. The horse to beat probably.

Scope the tote on PAT'S MEOW. This gal fired her best-ever fig last out while breaking the maiden on the engine and catches a favorable rider change to Gomez who can get them rolling early. It's "pillar to post or she is toast" for the MEOW Mix.

I'm surprised that Garrett Gomez made it into town to ride the 1st. He won the 6th race at Hollywood at 12:30 last night.

And Ramon is off his mounts after yesterday's spill.

I probably have more cash than brains today but I'm looking for an upset or at least a live cover early on. With 15 minutes to post I see by the probables that the public is spreading the exotic money and that's always a good sign. Nobody wants to bet $20 in the first race and come out of it with a $7.00 DD or worse.

P3: 2/1/2-3-5

DD: 2-5/1-6

DD: ALL/6

 Anytime John Velazquez rides for Leah, that's an encouraging sign. Acadian Blues in Race 2 is worth a flyer; don't like these early dirt races, but these are small fields.

DD....ALL/3

Save Job Bucker Flucker. I tossed the plowed chalk in race 2 and I hope the chalk here goes asunder but I'm in for some action.

DD: 3/1-2-4-6
