Because of the snow/sleet storm last night only the "homies" showed up for dinner - the three orange guys, Catty Patty and Tuxedo. They ate and then sheltered in their beds in the garage. This morning Sad Face was looking for me and he ate well. When I got back from my muffin run for my breakfast he was still here with the empty platters. He stared at me and I asked him if he was still hungry. He looked at me with that sad face of his and I brought him out another platter of Friskies. He ate it up. I like that big cat a lot.

Aw...he must have been really hungry...cats usually not eat "like dogs"

Weather burns up "fuel" fast. Do you know where Sad Face sleeps?

Sad Face flops here for a nap at times in a cat condo but he lays up down the block somewhere and I have no idea where.

This morning Colleen said pretty much the same thing as you, Wooley - Outside cats burn up a lot of "food fuel" just to stay warm during winter. They can live off the "belly bag" fat reserves but even a robust healthy cat can become very hungry in cold weather. After the GP getaway this evening at dusk I laid out a mountain of kibble and fresh warm water to go along with the platters of wet cat food and pile of tuna and sardines. I had all the cats eating well for the night and I have plenty of food ready for them in the morning.
