The bride's siblings and cousins and friends got her swooped out of here this afternoon for a dinner celebration at a fancy Manhattan restaurant while I was puzzling over the races at Belmont Park. The teen bride won't be 65 until May but her family has scattered due to the high NY taxes and career opportunities and today was the best day.

Everybody in my family close by is dead. Of course I was invited but everybody in the wife's family knows that I only leave the house to buy muffins, beer and cat food. And to make my VA medical appointments. And it's best for me to stay home so that I can feed the outside cats a great dinner.

On the day when my teen bride turns 65 and officially becomes a senior citizen I am told that she will no longer be able to have babies but I'll have to look that up in a book.

HB early to Mrs 1/4! :D :D

Likely family knows you are an iconoclast

"To be called an iconoclast today is usually kind of cool — they're rugged individualists, bold thinkers who don't give a hoot what tradition calls for. ..." Stemming from the Greek words eikon, meaning "image," and klastes, meaning "breaker," an iconoclast was someone who destroyed religious sculptures and paintings

I've been to more that 40 states and to the countries both north and south of the U.S. I've been across both the Atlantic and Pacific. I traveled a lot during my working years - yup, planes, trains and automobiles.

As an old fart now i just like staying at the home we snagged and paid off on my G.I. mortgage long ago. I like the hovel. It's our's. It's home and a great place to flop.
