John put up a 4-foot temporary wire fence on both sides of the back of the house for when the young Vizslas are out to do their business and exercise. Up the driveway the fence can be opened to allow a passageway for the cats for when the dogs are inside the house.

Day #1 - the outside cats scattered except for one. The dogs came out on leashes to run in the backyard. Beyond the fence they got turned loose. Only the unkempt and scruffy Mr. Orange stayed put hunkered down in the driveway to stare at the dogs.

When the dogs got back inside my son told his mother that he thought there was a sick cat down on its haunches in the driveway. Mom told him that Mr. Orange has appeared to be sick, lethargic and on his last legs since the day he was born in 2016. And it's true - he doesn't "snoodge" his siblings or show any emotion about anything. But he eats and lives well as a TNR cat and I like that. All the cats outside treat him well when he mopes up to share a platter of food.
