It'll be my first trip to Shea Stadium 2 and I'm going with 1/8 Pole and my granddaughter Miss Peaches. Today we catch Santana in the 1 o'clock game and our seats are field level beyond first (section 108). The last time I was through a "rotunda" was more than 50 years ago at Ebbets Field.
I haven't been to a Met game in 20 years and my last trip to Yankee Stadium was opening day in 1973. I expect to be one of the few non-millionaires in attendance today.
With Miss Peaches here I have had to shave & shower every day, maintain sobriety, and stay away from gambling, street people and loose women. It's been difficult but the discipline instilled in me decades ago as a G.I. has done me well.

I had an old math teacher in high school who once told the class that I was a "model man". He then explained to the class that a model is a cheap imitation of the real thing. Some laughs you just don't forget and that one goes back to 1964.
Got some pix to post on the Photo Forum.
