The wiper blades needed a change for winter since they were smearing a bit in recent rain. The bride told me she had new blades in the trunk and after breakfast I went outside with my coffee to swap the blades out. I have an appointment Monday morning at the VA Hospital and rain is in the forecast. It's an almost 70-mile round trip and I wanted to be safe and able to see. Almost a half hour later I'm still trying to get the old blades off. I get pissed. Years ago you could swap wiper blades on a car in less than two minutes blindfolded. I go inside and scope a video about the wiper change. There's a trick involved! I go back outside and still can't get the old wiper blades off. I go back inside ranting like a loon in search of a better video. I was spouting words that started with "F" and "Mother". When I got back outside loaded for bear the bride was standing next to the car with both of the old wiper blades off. Her fingers were the tools she used and she told me she had to get involved to bring my blood pressure down forty points and to keep the neighbors from calling the police about a crazy man. The new blades were easy to snap on and now sit firmly on the wiper arms. True story I'm afraid. |
