Post subject:  Busted Screen Cat Intruder
One day last week I was preparing a dinner for the cats outside with the side door open. Sad Face was hungry up on his hind legs peering into the kitchen. And that's when he squiggled through a rip in the screen to get into the kitchen. He just stood in the middle of the kitchen staring at me. I told him a great dinner was coming

And that's when Trouble trotted into the kitchen. The two biggest male cats in the neighborhood are both neutered and Trouble knows Sad Face from the times he's been outside with the cats he knows for some years here.

No bloody battle to report. Trouble and Sad Face approached each other warily and "snoodged heads" (tails up in peace).

Cats are social animals. Neutered males can be alpha cats but with no fertile females nearby begging for love they tend to be peaceful with cats they know. The exception comes with feline strangers that get into the shared territory.
