I got my warm muffin, cat food and beer but I also scored a 12-pack of Charmin. On my way out two old hotties wanted to take me out by the loading dock "for a good time" if I'd share the toilet paper with them. On a more serious note I am grateful that many Long Island supermarkets let the old folks have the first hour now. That's right up my alley as a life-long early riser. Older people aren't in a panic and the stores are still relatively well-stocked. I picked up stuff we needed with ease and the only hitch was taking a half-hour to get through one of the two open registers. All in all not a bad deal as I'm sure the place will be packed by hoarders all day. |
