| Post subject: | April 13th Storm & The Cats |
Heavy rain and near-hurricane winds put a damper on feeding the outside cats but I did get some food out to those who braved the storm to get some food. They all trotted back to the garage to get dry and bed down. No cat was starving. The wife did up the Easter ham early and with only two of us here there were pounds of leftover ham. Diced ham made into a warm soup had a lot of cat bellies sagging over the weekend. I don't have the patience to dice up large pieces of meat but the bride does it cheerfully for the cats. This morning I laid out lots of good food, water and kibble with sunny skies and no wind. A full crew was here to eat heartily and shortly thereafter my old buddy Sad Face flopped up against the fence on some grass to sleep off the full belly with some sun warming him up. This morning's soup du jour was canned chicken chunks and mashed sardines in a warm broth. |
