He got out through the side door on Wednesday night when the door was left ajar. We were heartbroken all through Thursday and I was worried since the huge tom had been a house cat since the day he was born back in 2010. We posted alerts and photos all over social media. I knew he could take care of himself with any other cat he might meet and could outrun any dog alive but I was worried about him being street wise with traffic.
Thursday night around dusk the wife spotted him napping on the grass out back. We were thrilled to see him. In the house he ate well and went to bed.
The cat isn't talking and we're just thrilled to have him back. He's a cat and a wild animal with the cat brain and DNA.

The cat got home with no fleas or injuries. He was neutered as a kitten so he didn't get home with any smiles either. He bunked up tight with the wife last night and all is good in the McVey cathouse.

I'm thinking he might have laid up at night and hung out with Bosco, Garfield and Catty Patty with their daytime wanderings but I don't know.
House cats of the American Domestic variety easily adapt to the "outdoor life" if that happens but he's not talking and prefers an indoor warm bed and good food served to him by a human flunky. None of the outdoor cat regulars would bother him since they know him. We're just glad he's back.
