I'm doing house chores today so I can be a slovenly disgusting slob tomorrow with the Belmont card. I catch few recriminations from the bride if I make myself useful now and again.
One thing I have learned is that when the vacuum cleaner gets turned on the cats scatter like their tails are on fire. I couldn't find a cat in this house if I was handing out free mice today.

I do the dishes everyday in the morning, so when the bride gets home from work and I am passed out in the sunroom from a hard day of retirement, I get up and say "honey did ya notice I did the dishes". I also load the dish washer of course.

Emptying the diswasher is the true test to see if you can handle hard labor - placing the clean beer mugs back into the freezer wears me out.
