No, she wasn't out hustling drinks or selling lap dances at a longshoreman's saloon. Yesterday we spent some hours cleaning out the garage and making space at the back end for the feral cats.
Today I was profitably diddling the races at Aqueduct for a few bucks and the new cat condo was delivered. The teen bride spent the afternoon out back putting together the new cat condo and loading it up with the hay that came with it (no kidding). She also finished bagging small garbage from the garage and sweeping out the place. Then she laid down lots of old comforters and brought out the cat beds she had purchased. One of them is in this photo:
The beds and comforters are up against the back wall of the garage where nothing can get wet or windy. Tonight when the temps go down every TNR cat out back will have a have a soft enclosed bed in great shelter.
The bride told me that when she was out back taking a break in one of the old "outside chairs" that's going out as junk the little Patty Catty girl cat trotted into the garage, checked out the cat beds with ceilings and then went into one and liked it.
Yeah, I bought beer at 6:30 this morning but I also bought 20 more cans of Friskies and lots of cans of tuna and sardines. I bought a corn muffin for me ($1.29).
