I left my bed all rumpled when I got out of it early this morning to feed the cats and get dressed for my beer and muffin run. Late morning while I was sipping coffee and working the Aqueduct card at my desk up in the man cave the huge tom Trouble came up the stairs on a gallop, raced by me and jumped into my bed. Very gently he laid his favorite mouse toy on top of the tallest "rumple" of my rumpled bed. Then he stared at the ceiling while letting out a godawful cat scream before racing away and going downstairs. It's going on 9 p.m. and the toy mouse is still there. I'm not sure I should get into my bed tonight. That neutered tom is about 17 pounds with large fronts, untrimmed claws, a large head and huge fangs. That "mouse" has been his favorite toy gizmo for a lot of years. He doesn't like anybody to %^&# with his mouse. "Mouse Thingy":

Cats are strange sometimes. Remember the photo of Trouble sitting on the kitchen counter next to the coffee maker when your wife was traveling!
