Sad Face wasn't here again for a breakfast this morning but he was lounging on the grass up the driveway between the '47 concrete slabs when I opened the side door to gather an empty platter for a washing before serving dinner and checking on the water. I walked over to him and leaned over. He just cringed with his eyes closed as I petted his skull, face and chin. That neutered tom street monster and I go way back. A great cat dinner came out.
Back row is Sad Face, his former rape-mate Nasty Mom and Mr. Orange. A bit right is Ginger and her son Garfield who always walks around with his tail straight up in peace and happiness. Down below working the canned chicken and sardines are Bosco and his sister Catty Patty who isn't so much of a runt girl anymore. I didn't think that little girl would last her first winter out back as a not-yet adult cat but she wanted to live and she caught great some great food and shelter. Tuxedo is not in this photo but I'm not worried. He eats well and grazes the kibble between meals. Sometimes he stays laid up in his bed in the garage when he's not hungry.
