We had two foals last year. Its about time I decided on their names and have narrowed it down to three(I think). One is a colt, out of Fly my Bird. The other is a filly, out of Two Moon Junction. Both yearlings were sired by Disco Rico. Well, as I said I came up with three possibilities, "Ricochet", "Costa Rico" and "Rico Act". I checked the Jockey Club OnLine Book of Names and all three were available. Anyone think they can come up with a better suitable name?

SWEET THIGHS MARIA (as a filly) for the first time I caught the clap as a young Marine in Mexico.
BAD THIGHS MARIA (as a filly) for my second dose in the Phillipines.
NO THIGHS NO HOW for my service in the Republic of Vietnam.
If the horse is male, how about SCRATCHES A LOT.

Railbird Marty is on my short list. Unfortunately the names that mention "THIGHS" would most likely get thrown out. The rule book Rule 6F subsection F - 10. spells it out...... 10. Names that are suggestive or have a vulgar or obscene meaning; names considered in poor taste; or names that may be offensive to religious, political or ethnic groups. Thank's to both Suffolk and QuarterPole for the naming idea's.

1/8 pole and KP, whenever possible I try to use either the sire's name, the dam's name or part of both. If you went back and reviewed some of my horses names over the years you would find many moon names starting with my 1st foundation mare Moonwaki by Miswaki. Then the names including "Bird" from my Fly My Bird mare by Storm Bird. Another that comes to mind using the fathers name was Black and Blues by Cure The Blues. You get the message.
Suffolk had "Railbird" and included Marty's name, which is O'K.
